In 2020, Austin voters approved one of the country’s most influential general obligation bonds, Proposition B, which contained $460 million in funding for transportation infrastructure, including sidewalks, bikeways, and safety projects. Thanks to these investments alongside the support of city leadership, Austin improved its City Ratings score from just 13 in 2020 to 34 in 2024.
