Improve Our Data

The City Ratings Network Score relies on data from OpenStreetMap, a crowd-sourced map of the world. You can improve the accuracy of your city's Network Score by editing the information in OpenStreetMap, such as bicycle infrastructure, road characteristics, intersection treatments and important destinations. Check out the following resources for guidance:

Complete the Surveys

Anyone can take the Community Survey to tell us what it’s like to bike in their city. If we receive a sufficient number of survey responses, we will include that city in next year’s City Ratings.

City staff can submit a City Snapshot to tell us what they are doing to boost biking in their city, improve the accuracy of the Network Score and give feedback on the City Ratings program. We use City Snapshot responses to feature cities doing great work to accelerate bicycling.
